    • “Wonderful service in beautiful setting”...We enjoyed our stay at Honduyate. The owner Lilliana, who speaks fluent English, was so wonderful to us. She spent so much time showing us all the lovely rooms and many choices. There were nice rooms with upscale furniture from $79 to beautiful suites that could sleep 6 for $140. Lovely view of the lake. Enjoyed our stroll in serenity garden overlooking the water. She arranged a great boat tour on the lake. The restaurant is very good and fresh fish is excellent. Lilliana really knows the area and gave us very good suggestions for activities. Would highly recommend a stay here with such knowledgeable and bilingual support. The couple takes a lot of pride in their property and it shows.

    • “The BEST! Wish we could go back today!”...Where do I begin? Our stay was one of the best weeks ever. Our thanks to Richard and Lilliana (the owners) for a stay we will never forget. Flew into San Pedro Sula. Definitely worth the drive. We were with a group of 18 staying for 8 days/7 nights. With such a large group we stayed in many rooms. Each one was wonderful, none better than the other. They are all different from each other making the hotel even more inviting. The rooms were spotless and cleaned daily. We even had 2 of the larger rooms for groups (ones with bunk beds) and enjoyed those as well. The owners are the most lovely people. Always willing to help or just sit and chat. They want to make your stay memorable (and they do!!) We enjoyed early morning walks with the owner. We took a boat ride on the lake. Don't miss the ride. The lake is so beautiful. EVERY meal that was prepared for us was delightful and delicious! Do NOT miss the fresh fish for dinner...head on is the best. Breakfast, lunch or can't go wrong with anything on the menu. The kitchen staff is helpful and we loved every meal. We ate there for every meal except for 3 lunches. :) You can see some of the meals in my pictures. The staff was always on top of every detail, no matter what was needed. The grounds are absolutely amazing. The trees and flowers are well maintained and lush! I couldn't get over how many different tropical flowers there were. Every time I turned around, there was a different one. The pool and marina are well maintained too. We enjoyed using both.

    • “Best in Country”....Have stayed in room #5 twice.Great view of the lake:fishermen in the morning, birds all day. Room nicely appointed:ceiling fan if needed;open the windows at night until the rooster and the dogs get vocal, then close up and turn on the A/C. Bathroom clean and plenty of towels and hot water.Housekeeping is tops. Don't miss the blueberry panqueques at breakfast.Omelets and French toast are good choices. Shrimp burger as good as any in the low country. For dinner try the tilapia...filet or head on right out of the lake. Have stayed at Gran Hotel Sula in San Pedro Sula thrice.....would rather be here.
